I told myself that if I started a blog, I would do it right and post most weekdays- at least 4 times a week. I’m running behind already! But I have an excuse- the computer hates me. It can sense when I’m near it or need it, and it chose to take a few personal days this weekend. Dan has been restoring it, or something computery and confusing. All I know is all my stuff is off limits for now. I’m going a bit crazy without access to my precious pictures! I just had a great newborn session this weekend (I’m also a photographer) with a gorgeous little girl, and a family I would join if they would let me. I’m just in agony over not being able to see the pictures and start working on them!
Anyway, there is a point to all of this. I have some great picture tutorials, some rants about poop and ideas for room fresheners, a lot of things revolving around lemons. Alas, I cannot share. But today I was making some dish soap and my favorite all-purpose cleaner from the amazing mom behind www.frugallysustainable.com, and I thought I would direct you to check out her website and try it yourself!
I can’t remember now how I stumbled upon her blog. Probably one of those midnight rambles through the internet. But it is a true gem, and it is not an exaggeration to say it has changed my life, our house, and at the very least, how I clean.
I have always been a bit “crunchy.” You know, buying a half a cow from a local farmer, eating raw milk, staying away from toxic cleaners however I can. But I hadn’t yet ventured into making my own cleaners, soaps and lotions until I saw how truly doable it is on this blog. There are buttons on the sidebar for “helps for the home”, etc- click on it! Try just one (and I highly recommend the all purpose cleaner!). Change the way you clean- and save some money and the environment while you do it.
You can click on this link or the button on my side bar to see this fabulous blog.
Enjoy! And I promise to be back soon!
What are some of your favorite blogs out there? Leave me a comment and let me know. I love finding new blogs, and reading about other people’s adventures in this crazy life.
